ESI is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor to be based in Salt Lake City, UT.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Direct and support field personnel conducting site and property surveys
  • Perform necessary document research to facilitate the development of accurate boundary and A.L.T.A. surveys
  • Research and design methods for survey processes
  • Develop UDOT right-of-way maps
  • Design proposed UDOT right-of-way plans and property acquisition documents
  • Supervise and provide guidance to field and drafting staff
  • Report on survey results and present findings to clients
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Surveying and Geomatics or similar field. 
  • Requires 2-6 years of relevant experience, or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and make appropriate, timely and sound decisions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Ability to coordinate between field and office personnel and to direct and support field personnel in topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of boundary determination.
  • Ability to produce finished boundary and A.L.T.A. surveys.
