ESI is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor to be based in Salt Lake City, UT.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and support field personnel conducting site and property surveys
- Perform necessary document research to facilitate the development of accurate boundary and A.L.T.A. surveys
- Research and design methods for survey processes
- Develop UDOT right-of-way maps
- Design proposed UDOT right-of-way plans and property acquisition documents
- Supervise and provide guidance to field and drafting staff
- Report on survey results and present findings to clients
- Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects
TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Surveying and Geomatics or similar field.
- Requires 2-6 years of relevant experience, or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and make appropriate, timely and sound decisions.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Highly accurate and detail-oriented.
- Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to coordinate between field and office personnel and to direct and support field personnel in topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of boundary determination.
- Ability to produce finished boundary and A.L.T.A. surveys.
